How long does a disk defragmentation take to run?

Usually adding more ram,will increase your speed on your pc , normally 2-3 hours but sometimes it depends on how bad it's fragmented one of my pc's took almost a day to defrag,might want to try a third party defrag in which is faster than the windows defrag.
